Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. She is the current president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss born in California was raised with an extremely wealthy background. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and was later a part owner of the Lakers along with several other companies in the field of sports. The couple divorced in 1972 which made her feel emotionally neglected. As she turned 19 old, she joined the family's business, serving as general manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Then she founded the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She also served as head of the Great Western Forum before assuming the position of vice president of the Lakers. Buss took over Lakers ownership Lakers by her dad in 2013. Five siblings of hers inherited it through a family trust. She assumed her duties as president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles the organization which promotes pro wrestling.
